I loved the movie - it was excellent and very engaging.
While everything else fit in, I have a question. The only reason Borden agreed to part with the secret of his acts to Lord Caldlow, as in return the Lord promised to take care of Jess, who would otherwise go to the state.
However, if he had a twin brother in Fallon(who probably was Jess's biological father), then why did he have to resort to that means? Fallon could've raised Jess, even if he weren't related to her and just by the connection he had to her as her father's aide.
I couldn't piece this bit together.

Well, the fact that Fallon was a twin need not have come out if he adopted Jess. He could've done just because of the fact that he was Borden's closest friend(they're seen together in the movie all the time).
So, it's not about revealing the truth about the twin - I think the scriptwriter didn't waterproof the script...the truth about Angier still being alive and Borden's twin could've been revealed in some other way.
