why do some department stores and radio stations start playing christmas music in the beginning of November? For me it kinda kills the spirit... its too soon to play that stuff, what do you think?

Retailers often depend on the holidays for a lot of their business. However I believe that it kills the meaning of the holiday to start displaying the decorations and playing the music so early. In my area there were a few stores that started displaying Christmas ornaments at the end of September. And on Halloween I went to the mall and there were no Halloween decorations in sight any more, all the stores were putting up their Christmas stuff. It's disgusting.

I agree... But some wal-mart start adding Christmas music in Oct to there play list

i would have to say i totally agree with you. by the time Christmas comes rolling around I am sick of the holly jolly spirit. but its just the advertising company's and stores reminding you to come to them when you get ready to spend your hard earned dough for the Christmas season.

It's almost nauseating...I could care less not to listen to Christmas music ever again.

I hate to admit this....but I like it. There are so many Christmas songs I enjoy and I like hearing them; especially when I'm driving home from work, they calm me down and make me smile.
