Practice in the mirror your smile. Repeat encouraging words to yourself. Something like "You're doing great today" "You are a good friend" "You are a great looking person" things like this just hearing them will boost your self esteem and thus raise your confidence level.
A few new items in your wardrobe can also increase your confidence. Ask a sales clerk for some tips on what styles would suit your "look" best. They are always happy to help you buy more stuff!

Wear smart clothes, like a suit. There is nothing like a form of uniform to make you feel you have permission to act a certain way. Confidence is something you can easily build on, some need to more than others.

Start with doing things that you know you do well- this will boost your confidence. Research different subjects that you know you are weak in to try to make yourself smarter.
