The Catholic Bishops are not jumping on the gay bandwagon. The guidelines state that the gay parishoners cannot make known their sexual orientation or practice any kind of gay relationship.

This would have happened if the Republicans remained in control. These things will happen again and again until future generations ask "Why did your generation have such a problem with gay relationships".

These guidelines are really nothing new.

The Catholic Church believes there is nothing sinful about being homosexual. But homosexuals like all unmarried people are called to celibacy.

The Church specifically says that homosexuals "must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided."

In addition, the Church teaches that anyone who has sinned in a serious manner should not receive the Eucharist. This would include any unmarried people who were not celibate.

With love in Christ.
