I think, if your husband has been honest, and has told you he is happy with your arrangement, then I do not see why this is up for discussion with your GF's? As to their thinking you should "give up your career", what kind of conversations are you having with your gf's? I say leave well enough alone. If your arrangement is working for you two, then its your business, try keeping it that way by not discussing it with people who have no reason to be included in the decision making process. If you have some question as to whether your husband is really happy or unhappy, try asking him DIRECTLY and not using your gf's as go betweens, ok? OK! Good luck!

First of all, don't worry about what your friends think about how your husband feels. Talk with your husband...your mate. If you two are on one accord, that is all that matters. I am assuming that you are putting the needs of the household first. If so, and if you and hubby agree this is best for the family then do so.
If that means that you are spending less time at home, it doesn't make you a bad mother. We all have to make sacrifices in life to obtain what we want. The important thing is us\you being happy with the choices that are made.
I hope things work out for you.

Hey I think that you are a great mom and wife. I understand that you want your children to be without things because you don't want them to have it and not because you can't afford it. Look I would do exactly what you are doing. Your friends are jealous of you having a very unselfish, understanding husband most of them probably doesn't have what you guys do. Don't feel guilty either, if your husband loves you just try to return the favor and live life at its fullest. So you want to help out in the house hold and you have a carrier girl don't let anyone hold you back from living the life that a lot of women today need and want.

Your husband is doing what he needs to do so tell your gf's to shut up and go away (believe they're just jealous and will go after him the moment you dump him, especially if he's that good).
And someone has to work. As long as someone is at home until the kids are old enough, then do what you got to do.

no, you shouldn't feel guilty for being a working mother . . that comes with the responsibility of being a parent . . . if your husband says that he is happy, trust that he is telling the truth . . . if you are unhappy with the arrangement, talk it over with your hubby and see if something else can be arranged . . .

You asked.....
I personally feel that the problem with our disrespectful, disobedient children that we have in our society are a direct result of not having a Mom at home to nurture and raise them in their younger years!
I am not condemning those who work...I work part time, too. What I am saying is that I think it is very, very important for a Mom to be home to raise her children if it is possible!!

If this situation works for you then do it. All of us mothers who have to work to get the bills paid feel bad every once in awhile. If I earned enough money to support my family I would. Kids need their mom, there is no way of getting around that.

Heck NO...you are a successful woman and there is nothing wrong with that. Your girlfriends are stupid. You know your husband better than they do, and if you believe that he is happy with the situation, then he is.

You know best if your husband is happy with the situation. Listen to no one but your inner voice, it won't lead you wrong.
