I'm not certain how they are discoloring, but here are a few suggestions. If you are seeing rusty or yellowish spots on your clothing, check your washing machine drum for scars. Sometimes zippers, buttons or embellishments on clothing will nick the surface of the drum which will rust over time. First, remove the rust with a product like CLR and then paint over it with appliance touch up paint (available at the hardware store).
If your water has a lot of mineral content and is causing your clothing to yellow or look dingy, try adding a neutralizer like Iron Out to the water. You may also need a laundry additive like Borax or Biz Activated Bleach for colors to remove discolorations already on your clothing.
If your darks are changing colors (like black to gray or blue) or they are fading, add a cup of white vinegar to the rinse water the first time you launder the garment. This will lock in the color and prevent it not only from bleeding on to other garments, but keeps the color looking like new.

If you mean your whites are getting yellow, try a product called Yellow Out and follow the directions. It works great. We have well water with a lot of iron in it and I use that stuff all the time. If your bright colors are fading, wash them in cold and limit the time they are in the dryer. Hang them dry (not in sunlight) when possible.

No I don't know of any thing or way. Dye the clothes the color you want is the only way to get a bright nice color.
