The ACLU protects organizations like NAMBLA (North American Man Boy Love Association) and KKK. They protect them because they have the "right" to molest children and discriminate? What about their rights?

It's just so much easier to attack something that you obviously know nothing about than to do some actual critical thinking & research, isn't it?
What the ACLU protects is the constitutionally protected FREE SPEECH rights of organizations - yes such as NAMBLA and the KKK. The ACLU itself obviously (like most rational thinking people) abhors what those organizations purport to promote (i.e. sex with little boys & racism) - nonetheless, the Constitution grants these abhorrent organizations the right to free speech - that is what the ACLU defends - not the ACTIONS of those organizations - but the SPEECH of those organizations.
Whether you are willing to acknowledge it or not - there is a fundamental difference here. The cases involving those organizations didn't have to do with any actual ACTIONS taken by those organizations - but rather issues regarding their right to demonstrate or publish literature.
As the ACLU clearly defends those organizations whose goals are in conflict with the ACLU's own positions & goals - one might say that the ACLU is actually one of the LEAST political of all organizations.
Keep in mind that the ACLU has also defended the Westboro Baptist Church - a far-right Christian organization (the "God Hates Fags" people), they've also defended Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Frank Snepp (formerly of the CIA), and Col. Oliver North.
Your question has an inherent flaw in it - as I hope you now see. The ACLU does NOT protect these organizations because of their "right" to molest children & discriminate - which I'm pretty sure are rights they do NOT have.....what these organizations DO have is the right to FREE SPEECH - it is Constitutionally protected - and THAT is what the ACLU defends.
Think for yourself & do your own research from here on in.
You're getting some bad information from people who want to keep you uneducated and not thinking.

Good observation. The ACLU seems to take particular delight in supporting the worst elements of society. I guess ther ACLU thinks the answer to your question is no. I disagree with the ACLU on this & virtually everything else.

That is not true. The ACLU doesn't protect their "right" to molest children. The ACLU protects their right to free speech.
It is up to us as citizens to make associating with such "organizations" undesirable...I think it is clear that in most areas of the country members of these "organizations" are looked down upon.

I have a question: Do parents have rights? Our children are constantly told about their "rights."
Wouldn't it be great if people were taught about corresponding responsibilities?
