The hot water will fill, but nothing is coming into the tub when I switch the temp gauge to cold.

Try to see if you can get the water to be medium tempature. If both the hot and cold water are coming into the washer then, There is a problem with the switch.
If you still only get hot water when you have the medium temp. then you have a problem with the water hook up.

There are screens in the hook ups at the washer. Shut the water off and disconnect the hoses, pull out the screens and clean them.

just had this problem ,check screens on inlet hose on back of washer, but the water selector valve is probably bad,fixed mine for 12 dollars with used part . easy to change ,two screws&hose clamp

your water inlet valve is faulty, its preety cheap and easy to repair yourself
