If you are talking about clothes moths then you need to do a multi-faceted strategy. A lot of this is what our grannies did and they werent daft! The odd moth flying around isnt the problem, its when they lay eggs. Check clothes regularly especially anything woollen. Give them a good shake before putting them in the drawer. Never put clothing with food stains in your wardrobe or drawers as the moths will lay on the food source. Check kitchen cupboards for flour spillage as this is a moth breeding ground. Air clothes in sunlight. Lavender is a traditional moth repellant but before you think about zapping them remove their habitat - they like grubby clothes packed tightly together in the dark without being disturbed - dont give them these conditions! And when you see a live one you can smack it between your hands as they are pretty slow moving. But dont kill other moths, they are lovely. Judy

Try a 150W light bulb, with a tin of hair spray at the ready.
Sorry moths, but you weren't invited in.

Moth balls work but they smell bad and are poisonous. Try using a cedar product. They come in chips and blocks and they smell good too.
