I can't remember, but in high school in the 80's we were studying China in History class and we had to read this book that also had a black and white movie out base on it. I remember it had alot of history of Opium use and even alot of the women in the movie had their feet bonded (is that what it was called?) and I understand that isn't done anymore. Does anyone have any ideas?

Yes - try "Victims of Opium" made in 1916.

Or maybe you're thinking of "The Good Earth." It's about China, but not made in China. It's in B&W and has characters who are opium-addicted.
