do colleges get payout money as they progress thru the ncaa march madness bball tourney?

I know the payouts are significant for football bowls with the biggest purses going to the top 5 bowl games--gators took the tourny last year --did they make any money from it?

yes they do but the money goes directly to the school and not to the players... giving money to the players even if it's price money is illegal...

obviously it's not as significant as football though
