i was on the depo injection for8 years i have been of it for 4 months and had 1 period only for 1 day could i?

very doubtful......normally it can take about a year to get your period back.....and since you were on it for 8 yrs i doubt that your hormones have returned to normal yet...I was on it for 3 yrs and it took 11 months to have a period and about a year and a half for the cycle to become regular. If you are worried by all means go see your gyno but I doubt you are pregnant and the fact you were on it so long leads me to think you might want to have your fertility tested anyway when you get ready to get pregnant.

After I stopped having the depo shot there were months I didn't really have a period, it was light spotting and sometimes not at all. Since that shot messes with your hormones, it will take awhile to get your period back on track. It took mine 18 months before it was regular again.

you could possibly be pregnant. are you trying for a baby now? the jag can also play havoc with your system for a while after you stop using it. the best way to find out is either wait for your next period. Are you regular? or get a cheap pregnancy test from your chemist, I think the cheapest one is about £4.99 but they are accurate in detecting a pregnancy.

i was on the depo for 7 years and came off it last november and despite reading several web sites saying it takes aprox 12 months to get back to normal in jan i found out i was expecting.everybody is diffrent so if your in doubt do a test.

I had the depo after my daughter was born and found it quite horrible! It stopped my periods and i got cysts all over and my depression became worse! Dnt think you will be preggers but get yourself checked out anyway!
