all in the family?

how many of you like all in the family?if you do,who do you like on the show?and why.

I like All in the Family, maybe not so much now as I did when it first came on. I always liked Lionel (from the early episodes), because I liked his reaction to the lunacy that was going on in the Bunker household.

I liked it as a kid when it was new; I like it now in reruns.

Archie was a loud-mouthed bigot when it first came on in 1971.
As he aged he became more tolerable to others.

Meathead was a stereotypical college student, mad at the world and all that he disagreed with. Just like a teenager, he knew it all until he grew older and realized how little he really knew.

Gloria was a whiner when the show first came out, her style of screaming really bugged me. Later she became less of a screamer, more manipulative. My least favorite of the main four.

Edith was my favorite, would not hurt a soul on purpose. As the character aged she became more vocal about things that bothered her.

I liked this show too as my father watched it every week. Like Barney Miller and Hee Haw. The episodes that stand otu to me were the ones with Reggie Jackson and the one where Edith died and Archie was left with Stephanie.

It was a good show, broke a lot of rules on TV in its time and its characters are enduring.

I like it, but only once in a while... they are all idiots... except for Meathead. He seems smart more often than the others.

I like Archie, he is so humorous when he is talking especiallly to Meathead....

my hubby used to like watching that show......i could never get into it,,,,probably because i didn't see the humor on how he treated the wife......
