Law of Conservation of Energy states

Energy and matter cannot be created or destroyed, only transfered

At the big bang, the temperature was 100 billion degrees C. So hot that everything was energy.

The big bang propelled out all this energy where some was transfered into matter.

The tempterature of the universe is now 5K but still the total energy and matter now is equal to the total energy and matter at the big bang

1. Like the other people are saying, the big bang neither crated nor destroyed matter. It simply expanded it.
2. If it had created matter, it would also have created the universe. Only the universeal laws prevent matter from being created or destroyed; before the universe, if you had somewhere to put it, you could create or destroy matter. If it had created matter and the universe, then it would be allowed to.

None of those factors educate that a large bang occurred. All that they educate is that the universe is increasing, yet so what? If someone believes in God those factor do not disprove him. who's to assert that God did not create the global from a center. really, that there is no data that an atom, from nowhere, split and by some means led to this entire massive chain of activities that slowly stepped ahead the global. it fairly is an interpretation of the observations. there is no data that global slowly stepped ahead. That too, is an interpretation. All there is is observations that mean particular conclusions, and those conclusions are in accordance with how the global works right now. So, we are assuming that the global continually worked a similar way, that if a ball is shifting it can were thrown or that if 2 organisms percentage DNA, it can propose that they are correct through some without delay ahead ancestor. although, absolute truths are medical heresy, and rightly so. None of those conclusions have any direct data, there is no data that the ball replaced into thrown, nor any data that 2 species have a without delay ahead ancestor, really observations that help those conclusions. yet, possibly you may make a second, opposing end it fairly is supported through all of those observations. enable us say that God created the global, and that i'm not putting forward that he did, yet enable us say so, possibly even as he created the global he created the ball already shifting and not in any respect having been thrown. possibly, he created the global continually increasing as a results of the indisputable fact that's better this way. besides, why would he create diverse animals in thoroughly diverse techniques? does not you imagine that it fairly is extra artwork? He created an animal, say, with lungs, and so he created yet another animals with lungs. Why? because it fairly works. He used a similar DNA code to make a similar proteins that carry about a similar conclusions the position they artwork maximum effectively. In different circumstances he used a diverse code to serve for different applications, say, underwater respiration, i.e gills. and doubtless, all those fossils that we see, that look to link the move from one specie to a unique are prototypes. in spite of everything, that's if truth be told us that say that God could be ideal. yet who's to assert that he fairly ought to be ideal. really brilliant.

According to some new theories in quantum physics, matter does not exist only energy. Everything around is energy in various forms and densities. I agree with many here that the Big Bang was just a redistribution of all the energy there is. This energy will never collapse in on itself as the universe is expanding at the speed of light.

Since the discovery of nuclear phenomenon, the statement usually reads, "Matter can neither be created not destroyed, by ordinary means." It is now known that matter can be generated from energy or vice versa in accordance with Einstein's equation E = mc2. When an atom is split in two the weight of the two parts is slightly less than the original whole and some of he original mass is converted to energy. Either way, the statement means that matter can not be created out of thin air nor by spontaneous generation. Mass and energy are conserved unless they are converted a la Einstein.

The theory doesn't imply that matter is created OR destroyed. It's more a concept of expansion and contraction. I haven't even thought about it for a while so I might be way off, but I'm pretty sure the idea is that the universe is slowly compacting itself until one day gajillions of years from now, all matter will be condensed into one little speck and then explode sending particles to all reaches of the universe. I mean, think about it, the universe is nothing but a vaccum anyways, who's to say that all matter WON'T eventually collide with itself?

I think it's total rubbish myself.

The theory of the big bang just says that matter expanded. Oh and for J Bents up there, the universe is already at escape velocity, so it will never return to to a singularity.

It is my understanding that no matter was created or destroyed in the Big Bang. It was just redistributed from an incredibly dense mass of matter.

Big bang is not destroying or creating matter. Its just expanding it.

this isn't really one for yahoo answers. Try "what's the best toilet paper" or "how can I get grass stains out of my white sneakers". For this, try reading "The First Three Minutes" by Steven Weinberg, and recognize also that this isn't yet fully understood and may never be, even outside of the Yahoo community.
