Removing IMnames...grrr?

Question

my younger sister got imnames and wen i go on MSN it comes up with the autotype advert, i unistalled it and found traces of the program left, ive tried to delete this and its says 'cannot delete file your disk is full - it aint, it write protected - proberly, or is being used by another program - ??' plz help me remove it no 1-liners a good answer is a paragrapgh long

Hi!

Empty your recycle bin and try again. If that doesn't work, when Windows initializes press F8 and chose Safe Mode.
If it's XP it will probably start in a special MS-DOS session.
MS-DOS commands are:
dir - to view files and folders
cd foldername - to navigate into that folder
cd.. - to go back to the last folder
del - to delete file
deltree - to delete folder
attrib - to change attributes of the file:
ex: attrib -r will remove the Read-Only attribute. Type attrib for more info.

Hi!

Please rephrase your question with some more specific info... "The folder is in boot?" - there is no such concept. But you can, however, remove it. If, for instance, you start in safe mode, then... voila, use MS DOS comamnds and get rid of the folder.
Please, be kind enough and send me some more info on this matter.
