Hey, I'm in a martial art class (90% are married men) and I'm a girl. They place a hand on the other guy's shoulder when they are talking, touch a guy on the back to get there attention. When one guy had hurt his ear, at least two guys placed their hand on the ear, and it looked like the gesture was "you poor dear". blech! There are no sexual touching, but gee golly, I didn't know guys touched like that just to be friendly with their buds.

The real problem in life is there is not enough touching. A touch expresses an emotion and says to the other person you care about them or like them or wish their problem wasn;t so devastating or whatever. We should all aim to touch at least one person every day. If you reach out and touch someone it shows you are a caring human being and if everyone were, it would soon eliminate reduces hatred, violence and maybe even war. Oh, there is nothing gay about touching one of the same gender just like Europeans tend to use a kiss as a greeting whether man to man or female to female.

Because friendly touching feels good, and it's easier for most guys to express themselves physically than verbally. Sounds like your guys are comfortable enough in their masculinity that they don't have a lot of issues with it.

I blame that metrosexual David Beckham. Men casually coming into contact with eachother! What is the modern world coming to? Repent! For surely the end is near.

I'm a straight guy, and I have no tolerance regarding other guys touching me.
