the government is not holding them-hezbollah is. they are using them as bargaining tools for hundreds of hezbollah p.o.w.'s. they crossed over into israel, killed three soldiers during the raid and another five during a rescue attempt. hezbollah and the likes are cowards. they react like five year old children when confronted with an issue. they started this and freely admitted it courtesy of nasrallah, the coward that went into hiding. they are the puppets if iran-syria. this act was used to divert attention from the UN about iran nuke program(my best guess) or the inquest of sryia on their part in the murder of rafik hariri. as bold as these folks claim to be why not step up to the plate and accept responsibility. lebanon is trying to establish themselves as some type of democratic land but are constantly being attacked from within by these minority militant groups.they fight because their father and their fathers father, with no reason at all that they can recall. note; sunnis and shiites fight because they disagreed over the lineage of muhammad. should it be a relative of a him or a priest not of his family. 1800 years later....dollars to donuts this will play out just like communism or nazism. the moderates will finally disown them. it may be ten or twenty years.note 2; these guys do not do anything that big without permission. they are the lapdog for iran. just as hamas is for syria.

One person has restated a lie, viz. "The 2 Israeli soldiers were captured inside Lebanon near the town of Aita al Chaab during a raid on Lebanese territory ."
This is a claim that not even the Hisb'Allah holds. The murder of Israeli soldiers and kidnapping of other soldiers took place in sovereign Israel territory.
Israel foolishly pulled out of Lebanon on the assumption that the Hisb'Allah terrorists would not be permitted to re-arm and to return to their positions in southern Lebanon. Unfortunately, the United Nations once again double-crossed Israel and did not enforce UN Resolution 1701, which would have kept the terrorists where they were at the time of the cease fire. Meanwhile, arms continue to flow from Iran via Syria to the Hisb'Allah, unchecked by the Lebanese army and by UNIFIL, in violation of the UN resolution.

The 2 Israeli soldiers were captured inside Lebanon near the town of Aita al Chaab during a raid on Lebanese territory (i.e. during a hostile act). As a sovereign country has the right to detain any foreign soldiers on its soil without its permission, I hardly think that this qualifies them as either hostages or kidnap victims. International Law classes them as Prisoners of War (i.e. persons captured by a belligerent while fighting in the military).

i think of they are justified even though it particularly is problematic to provide up a freight prepare. those are the folk that have confidence that Israel desires to be wiped off the face of the earth. in the event that they are pushed via religious theory than attacking them won't help. i think of the two pa. and Israel prefer peace for the main area yet extremest are in no way going to permit that take place. So right here we bypass returned with the harmless would be people who are suffering.
