Three options:
1. They think they're hot and like to check themselves out because of it.
2. They think they're ugly and are self conscious about the way they look so they are trying to find someway they look okay in a mirror. Or they're scrutinzing the way they look.
3. They've never owned a mirror and the prospect of one's own reflection is pretty exciting.
Anyway, pull those ladies away from their own relfection, tell them they look nice, and go out.
On an unrelated note, imagine what it would have been like when only the wealthy had mirrors. You wouldn't really know what you looked like except reflected in rippled water or glass. Unless you were one of the wealthy. Weird.

Could be miscontrued as a woman being vain, or could be that she's trying to look her best for you.
