Original equation:
16c . 44c
----- / ----
p²n² . pn

When you have a division, invert and multiply:
16c . pn
----- * ----
p²n² . 44c

Now you can cancel P, N and C:
16 . 1
---- * ---
pn . 44

Also cancel a 4 from 16 and 44:
4 ... 1
-- * ---
pn .11

Now just multiply across:
4
---
11pn

There's your answer:
4 / 11pn

(16c/p^2n^2)/(44c/pn)
= (16c/p^2n^2)*(pn/44c)
= (16/44) * (c/c) * (p/p^2) * (n/n^2)
= (4/11) * 1 * (1/p) * (1/n)
= 4/(11pn)
