I just wrote a question about sleeping and my aching body...but it is really more than that and it has not gone away yet today. From my butt all the way down to my toes...I am in pain. Last night...even after switching positions one hundred times...I had numbness in my leg all the way down through my toes. My leg is really weak...which is not good bc I am a dance teacher at a high school. I keep stretching it and the pain is not going away. What is this?? I put in a call to my doctor but have not heard from him yet. I do not want to take anything for it unless I absolutely have too!!! What could it be and is it something to worry about??

It's probably your nerve being compressed and causing pain. I had the same thing and it was terrible. My doctor told me NOT to go to any chiropractic because they actually pose a lot a risks like compressing the umbilical cord and rupturing your waters (just to name a few). She actually sent me to physcial thereapy. I went and they did some stretching and showed me some exercises along with deep tissue massage on my hip where the nerve is located. Check with your doctor to find out! ALSO your nerves can be comrpressed because of dehydration (if your muscles are not supporting the tissues to keep the nerves in the right place) so make sure you are VERY hyrdated! You can take some thing for it, but honestly it never did much for me. Good Luck!

At 18 weeks the baby isn't all that big, but it's possible the little booger is sittin' on a nerve. Just wait to hear from the dr and it's ok to take some Tylenol. While it's not going to stop the pain completely, it will take the edge off. Good luck and congrats on your new baby.

that can happen because you're pinching a nerve in your back. it's common, call your doctor.

IT IS NOT OKAY TO TAKE ANY MEDICINE WITHOUT YOUR DOCTOR'S CONSENT! Sorry I was told I could only take one normal strength Tylenol when I was running a fever
