when me and my brother were little my mom had a book that was pretty big and think,, the cover was white, with some things on it, and it was a book of either fairy tales or fables,, and we are looking for it once again.

Don't know, but check e-bay they have a ton of books...you'll need to look for children's books, fairy tales/fables

Maybe the Complete Works of Brothers Grimm Fairy Tales? Its a rather large book, with lots and lots of tales in them.
They have all been reprinted so many times since the 80's, that the cover color does not help much.
Places like Amazon have these books for sale.

consistent with threat they're the fairy tale books via Andrew Lang. there is The purple Fairy e book, The Blue Fairy e book, The Orange Fairy e book, the golf green Fairy e book, The Yellow Fairy e book, The pink Fairy e book, The Lavender Fairy e book, and a few extra.
