Jesus never involved himself in the political landscape. He was more concerned with the spiritual.

When asked about the ethics of taxation (i'm paraphrasing here) he requested from the asker whose "picture is on the coin." "Ceasar" the man replied, and he said "then give it back to him." This leads me to believe that he was a democrat, supporting taxation. Now considering that he was very giving and lived in poverty his entire life, gave people wine and food for simply existing, and never had anything of worldly value, I would say that he probably would fall into the "democrat" description as well, but in addition to that, since he held people accountable (and will still to this day) and lived and preached that God will help those who help themselves (e.g. work) and supported strong family values, I would say that there could be a pretty good argument that he was Republican.

Not sure though. But I do know this much--I would vote for him if he was running for President. (Of course, the office he holds is a little more important than that. =)

I don't believe Jesus would have advocated for either party, but his beliefs are almost perfectly aligned with Democratic principles. He WAS A LIBERAL!!! So, while he would have avoided party affiliation, he was undoubtedly Democratic material!

Let's see, healed the sick, fed the hungry, forgave prostitutes, didn't care about wealth, fought against organized religion, believed in paying your taxes, hmm, nope, definately not a conservative!

Jesus was a liberal, a renengade of his time. He believed in "social programs". Feeding the hungry, healing the sick, helping people. The Pharisees and Jews were the conservatives.
