The same thing happened to me when I found out that I was pregnant with my son. Found out when I was 6 weeks and had been heavily drinking for the past couple of weeks. You know, after work cocktails with the hubby. Glad to report that my son is just fine and very healthy. Just remember to not consume anymore. Word of confidence....your baby will be just fine.

Were you consuming the alcohol on a daily basis or just an occassional drink? I would ask the dr, but I'm sure it's fine. When I found out I was pg I nearly had a heartattack because the day before I had a drink and a couple days before that, I had 2. I thought for sure I pickled the little thing. Dr told me not to worry. It's usually after a mother drinks constantly during the pregnancy that the baby is affected, however I'm no expert. I would consult the dr. Good luck!

You did the right thing. Dont worry about it. Most people dont find out they are pregnant that soon. Some continue to use drugs and drink up until 10 or more weeks. When my sister was pregnant with my nephew she was drinking and doing pot every weekend, and when she was 12 weeks pregnant she realized she was pregnant, her periods were so off and she still had light spotting so she didnt think nothing of it, and her doctor said that these things happen and not to worry about it. Im sure this has caused NO harm to your baby. You have stopped now and thats wonderful. Just focus on this day forward and you will be just fine!!!!! The biggest thing with drinking is having a baby born with fetal alcohol syndrome and trust me you need to drink alot more than you had!!!! Your fine!!! CONGRATS and GOODLUCK!!!!

Don't worry, I'm sure your baby will be fine. I also drank before I knew I was pregnant. My Doctor assured me that the baby would be fine, (and she was!) You did the right thing by stopping the alcohol and the caffeine right away. Good Luck.

The baby will be fine. You would not believe the number of women this happens to. With both my second baby and the baby I am carrying now I drank before I knew I was pregnant and the doctor said not to be concerned at all.

Yes, ultrasounds are nontoxic..there are surely no part results at the fetus..I had countless ultrasounds with my second being pregnant..little one used to be great. I have in no way heard of any disorders with the little one from ultrasounds...it isn't like an xray so there's no radiation or some thing.

The first trimester of pregnancy is the most crucial stage in fetal development. The alcohol may or may not affect the fetus. Let's just hope for the best.

I'd like to point out that people have been drinking while they were pregnant for centuries. If you are a fall down drunk then you will have problems.

Studies have shown that drinking that early in the pregnancy does NOT effect the baby. Many women do this without realizing! Don't worry, your baby is fine.
