We are visiting family for Thanksgiving. We are staying in Farmington Hills and we have friends who live in Southfield. Any recommendations on some restaurants in the area.

The best sushi place is a casual little restuarant in Farmington called Sushi House. It is on the southeast corner of Farmington Rd. and 9 mile in the Farmer Jack plaza. No liquor is served. The unagi is my hubby's favorite and we always get the Michigan Roll. (Bibimbap there is outstanding as well)

For chinese, we go to Middlebelt and Shiawassee. It is called Empire Dynasty. The veggies are always fresh and crisp and the dishes are yummy. My favorite is spicy Hunan Chicken. I've never had a bad meal there. The family that owns the place is nice too!

Priya has great indian food in Farmington. It is on Grand River near 10 mile. Navratan Koorma is my fave. Try the Butter Chicken or Chicken Masala.

There is a Thai place in Royal Oak on Woodward and 13 mile in the Kroger plaza on the southwest side of the intersection. Ruby's Bangkok Thai. Great hot and sour soup and good atmosphere.

Andiamo's in Royal Oak is great for italian. Great entrees and desert, and it is in the downtown area where there is sure to be good entertainment over that weekend.

Enjoy your time in the area!

J Alexanders or PF Changs are my favorite when we go there to visit. But then theres always Greenes burgers but thats just a little burger joint but very GOOOOOOD! Stay away from Buddys pizza. Yuck....it tastes like Pizza Hut.

it is stated as Burger Island in Mesquite, Texas and it has a one hundred% Angus burger with the main as much as date aspects! I constantly get the guacamole and jalapeno burger with pepper jack cheese with lettuce and tomatoes. And, the BUN is the softest element to ever grace a burger. it is organic HEAVEN! Sandy :O)
