I am thinking of moving to the New England states, and Vermont looks beautiful. If anyone could tell me about it, that would be great. Let me know the good and the bad.

I just got back from there last week. It is a beautiful state. Very expensive taxes, and food cost are very high. Homes are not cheap either. Where do you want to go. If you move on a back road that is dirt expect a 5th season, it is called "Mud season".
Schools are excellent, lots of good colleges. Pay is high though living cost soon eat up the good pay. But then you have the pure beauty of mountains, and lakes. It gets very cold, but it is a dry cold and not so bad if you are dressed correctly. You can usually expect lots of snow, and roads are kept pretty good. It takes a blizzard (Maybe not) to stop school buses and people from driving to work. Make sure you buy snow tires, not all purpose tires and they get put on the car in October and taken off in May. The larger towns have great stores and lots to do. I love the State and the people in it.

Good: It's beatiful, great skiing, they like Independents (I love centrism!), home prices reasonable.

Bad: It's cold and remote.
