for one moment every 4 years, an athlete in every stupid sport right up to CURLING can get worldwide exposure, proudly representing his/her own country.....

you'd hope politics wouldn't factor in but after the 1980 Summer olympics I guess we can't count on that anymore, can we?

You propose, like how maximum Christian rituals are at as quickly as derived from pagan rituals? it somewhat is not sarcasm (like maximum of my solutions are), yet is definitely genuine, like it or no longer. Many Christians I''ve met get disillusioned when I propose this manner of element, yet examine your background books, it somewhat is historic certainty. in case you're suggesting that Christians shouldn't bypass to or watch the Olympics through fact it is "pagan", properly, one would evaluate lightening up slightly and taking area in the video games. you will no longer bypass to Hell for it, I promise. (yet do no longer take *my* observe for it - i'm a super sinner, through fact I watch it with fascination.. i do no longer even care who wins. I only think of it is neat that all of them look to have superhuman powers. quite the gymnastics human beings.)
