Well that really all depends on the girl's taste in games.
I would probably suggest something in the platformer/action genre. Some games that might appeal to a girl of that age would include New Super Mario Bros., Super Princess Peach or the upcoming Yoshi's Island 2.
Another good genre of games to check out would be the 'sim' type games, which would include games such as Animal Crossing: Wild World or Nintendogs.
Of the games that I listed I would probably lean more towards New Super Mario Bros., Super Princess Peach or Nintendogs. I hope that you find these suggestions helpful

Something like Mario Kart, or something with characters racing.
