What an awesome intelligent observation. I believe what you are saying but unfortunately not a lot of women buy into this. They have been socialized to believe they do not live up to this fictional account. Go to Dove.com and look at their film called Evolution it is certainly informative. I think we as women should boycott all other companies that don't support beauty that is natural. All women are beautiful. You should try and read the Politics of Women's Bodies which just expounds on many of your own ideas. Thanks for an intelligent observation and keep on empowering your sisters with these encouraging statements.

Natural beauty is in ones understanding of true beauty. In some cultures a woman is not a woman or truly beautiful until she bears the tribal tattoo across her entire face, jewelry also plays a part in beauty, in some cultures the more gold you wear the more beautiful you are. Cultural perceptions play a huge role in perceived natural beauty-the argument you present is about untouched beauty vs touched. I don't wear makeup, dye my hair or have a tattoo - I do shave -because I despise body hair-I am fortunate enough to have a spouse who believes the same and maintains a hairless body for my pleasure. It is all very personal - this thing called beauty. If one looks in the mirror and sees a lovely looking back and then enhances it to create a perception of perfection this is their prerogative. If one chooses to see ones self as perfection already and goes about in full hairy glory and plain faced - that too is their prerogative. The true beauty is there is someone for each of us who will find us beautiful and hopefully when I am old and gray I will look in the mirror and see beauty still.

I think natural beaty comes from the heart. Some people can have a beautiful face but have the worst personality ever. I personally wear makeup because it makes me feel pretty. I think whatever makes a person feel pretty is fine. Porn on the other hand is degrading to women, it doesn't show how wonderful and beautiful a person is. Men, I feel, are turned on to the dirtiness of it and don't concentrate on how beautiful a woman can be.

Anybody who sees me can tell you that I believe in natural beauty. I am a woman who doesn't wear makeup or wear false hair. I do, however, cut the hair off my vagina in order to keep it fresh but I do think that makeup is about hiding the women from who they are and what they want others to see. I agree with you 100%. I don't agree with what the media considers to be beauty but I have made my own definition and I live by my own.

Agree with you about the porn and media part but disagree with the makeup part.
To me, makeup enhances a woman's beauty and I see nothing wrong and will insist that women should put on some makeup.
I look at some of the women in my office who look so pale without makeup, though some are beautiful. If only they put on some makeup, it'll enhance their beauty so much more and even help them in their job.
My wife look sweet at home without makeup but when she puts on proper makeup, many men stare at her in admiration. I'm proud of that .
You may think it's vanity, but for me, admiring a woman's beauty is like appreciating a beautiful garden of bright flowers. It's so pleasing to the eyes. Hopefully, men take off the lustful part from their imagination once in a while. Just look at the beautiful face and don't roam up and down too much.
Put it this way. How many women have such stunning 'natural beauty' that they need zero makeup ? Show me some and I will tell you, these same beauties will shine so much more if some lipstick , eyeshadow and foundation were applied in the correct proportions.
So it's not silly to me. It's being smart.
But you are entitled to your own opinion of course.

ME!!!
Well I don't know about the waxing thing, I do that for myself..
Porn and the media... hmmm.. I think the general public knows it is fake, but there are some that are still hoping!
I stopped wearing a lot of make up in high school, it just made me look worse, now I leave with only foundation, if that... Does any one really notice anyways... I doubt it!
The one thing I hate is bras.... I really don't need them anyway hehehe
I love your question!!

i began donning makeup whilst i grew to become into 18, (final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days). not beginning place or something like that, only the eyeliner. the rationalization why, is that i think a sprint greater beneficial and woman, with out it, i appear like a boy toddler and somewhat undeniable. i don't positioned on beginning place nevertheless, because of the fact this is disgusting stuff, seems fake no depend how lots you pay for it, only sounds like a mask and hides away those great advantageous properties. I truthfully have extraordinary dermis so If i take advantage of that stuff, I only get breakouts.

I believe in natural beauty. I am one of the few women I know that doesn't wear make-up. I feel that my face is the way it is, why change it by painting it? However, I don't understand your oppinion about waxing. Thick wiry hair - however natural- is not beautiful. I think it is up to the woman to decide how much hair she has and how much make-up she applies.

Well, I trim, like 2 keep it nice and clean; kinda like a beard 4 guys, would you like to kiss a smelly, dirty, raggedy looking thing? not me, I agree I do not like shaving it all, that does remind me of being 8 years old. but never say no to a nice trim, it is not the seventies anymore, trim the afro, and enjoy the sun with a nice Bathing Suit and nothing will peak out.....
