The only people who should be in here are those who want to help, whether they themselves are gay or not is irrelevant but if them can make an informed and open comment on someones question then go right on ahead... but don't judge us or you yourself will be judged...

Why waste their time indeed? But they think they are performing a public duty, a bit like the morons who would rather see Muslims 'killed in a Tesco Supermarket'...you read it here first (yesterday, I believe, with Yahoo Answers having some lose points for answering the questioner with disgust). This may sound harsh, but you will have to accept it if such dears need to get it off their chests!

i think its sad. as far as i'm concerned, even though like many people i am straight i don't find it wrong for others to post serious and intelligent questions and answers on this subject. like many decent people on here i think homosexuality is natural and its not something i find disgusting and offensive. yet what i do find disgusting and offensive are sexist, racist and homophobic remarks made by various people. and you're absolutely right, if they hate gays and lesbians and their lifestyles so much, then why do they actually bother posting offensive and derogatory material on this section? if they don't approve of it then that's their personal opinion and they should keep it to themselves, but they shouldn't be allowed to post those vicious remarks on answers because a) its just socially and wihtout a question of doubt immoral and b) by doing so they are provoking a ferocious reaction that is all the more understandable, seeing as homophobia is not something we should condone in society .

I can go to a question thinking it is something entirely different to what i then read, and i get disgusted by some of the crap i read. I am a dyke, and i also do get grossed out by some of the graphic sexual questions, that seem way more appropriate for a gay chat room or site. Just me. Not shocked, grossed out.

I don't necessarity look through sections but just click 'answer' and all questions are listed as they are posted. I would assume the majority of people do this which is why you're maybe getting stupid answers/time wasters etc. It's a curiosity killed the cat situation with some people.

might not be that they search in the GLBT section, but all Q's posted go into the main list first, so it might be that the bigots answer the Q's from that point, rather than searching GLBT section. Either way, there do seem to be a lot of idiots out there. Do we all report the bad comments, though?!

Some people tend to get curious and happen to express thier displeasure in nasty ways... the adult thing to do? ignore it, report it, do as you may, but the worse thing to do is stoop to their level and try to convince otherwise...people have a right to their own opinion, but responding back, just fuels the fire for some of them (the ones that get a kick out of people being mad at them *tisk, tisk, poor lonely people)...and this part of the question site is not just designated for gay/les/bi trans people... it's also for straight or asexual people whom do have honest questions... dont let the few, ok... quite a few bad apples ruin your day by answering a question in a way you don't agree with...
This is the reality... Offline or On.... people have thier opinionand they express it however they fell, and I respect that, but for those who degrade, you just ignore, why? becuase they're not worth the time...Plain and simple...

I agree - if you think you will find something offensive - you don't watch it, read it or whatever.
However, some people like being horrible and mean just for the hell of it. You should imagine how boring and unfulfilling their lives must be that hurting people brings them pleasure.
I am straight but read all manner of questions - i certainly wouldn't leave an offensive answer.

Sadly they do it for recreation. They like to attack and provoke. Like school children who know they'll never get caught. The poke a stick and run. They know they can't get hurt so why not pick on the gay guy. The word most appropriate for this kind of person is.....C O W A R D.

That is my sentiment exactly!!! Who knows their reasons for looking through this section. Maybe they are bored and have nothing else better to do. They are bigots who have no idea about being gay, bi or transgendered. Any one with half a brain cell will understand that we are all human. Rise above their insults......'The people that matter dont mind, and the people that mind dont matter.'
