I am due March 20th with a little boy and we have been trying to find a name we both like... We finally think we found one we like the name Tristan we want to spell it Trystan. We asked others and everyone liked it but some say it's girlie, I looked it up on many of the baby names websites and it is always under boys names and means bold warrior. Anyways what do you think about the name? If you like what do you think would be a good middle name? The last name would be Singh. Thank you soo much for any suggestions!!!

I like the name, I think it is a wee bit femine but Trystan make me think of a really hot guy with blue eyes and blond hair. Anyway I like Tristan spelled with an i and with the middle name James. Good Luck with your baby boy and make sure to have a back up little girls name cuz you never know what can happen.

I knew a guy in High School named Tristan. He was artsy and very nice. He was also in a band--so you know girl's swooned to him. I like the name!

Regardless of the name though--if it's David, Shane, Sky, Guy, or Tristan--if he's going to be "girly" he's going to be that way whatever his name is. A name doesn't define a person--it's the personality that does.

If someone doesn't want to know him because of his name, chances are it's a good thing! Best of Luck!

There's nothing girly about the name Trystan. I think it's an awesome name! Any classic two syllable middle name (richard, robert, edward, etc.) would complement both the first and last names...what are some of your family names?

Good luck to you!

I like the name Trystan and don't think that it is a girly name at all. It is your child and you should be able to name him whatever you want (within reason). I am partial to the name James. How about Trystan James?

I have this thing about syllables. Being that the first name is 2...you need a one syllable middle name...I really think Trystan Blaine is cute

I think it is a good name for a boy and middle name......use your husbands first name, Trystan seems to go with everything, Lee, Allen, Gregory, Michael.

I'm due around the same time, but not finding out the sex until I give birth. If it's a boy, we'll name it Aidan or Tristan.

I like the name Tristan but it does seem more feminine if spelled with a "y". For a middle name, how about using your maiden name or the maiden name of one of your grandmothers.
