Better idea is Use Yahoo services.thease guys are best in the industry.
Why not to use gmail
They Don't send spam but actually do spam.( See the left side Advertisements all over to your mail)
They Could kickout you anitime without any reason
No Well Behaved Customer Care ( Compare Yahoo Send them Mail and Check out your self Why Yahoo is Yahoo)
They Still thinks that Internet is a Book Fair. ( Consider their love to text rather then Rich Media although after kicked by you tube they came to know that Oh.. We got it internet could be used for videos too.)
Don't offer to get Free Help form real persons(Like Yahoo Answer ).
Ok You may consider Blogs are the Biggest Thing they had done. Sorry to say you Just Check out MYSPACE you will know which site is Better.
Use Gmail if
you want to hide your Yahoo Messenger while Talking to your Wife/Girlfriend During Office hour ( Believe me 90% Users Do it in Offices)
Use at your convience.
Rest is your luck and desire.

There are a lot of advantages in using Gmail... Like its a common ground for both ur chat n mail though u can choose to log in both... this is better 'cos in yahoo its a little diff... and if u want a gmail account some one should offer u.... That makes u feel priviledged... in case u need it just mail me mgangel86@gmail.com

I have gmail and it is the best. You have unlimited storage capacity and the user inteface is great. The only way is for someone who already has gmail to invite you. Sometimes if you go to gmail.com it says that they can text message you a special code so you can get a gmail account. But this only happens sometimes. You should get gmail it is worth it.

You have to be invited to use Gmail.
It's Google Mail (duh).
And, you can use those 2Gs they are offering for personal online storage if you have the right tools.
Other than that - Yahoo! Mail Beta is so much better, I think.

You either have to have a current user invite you, or you can have them send you a text message with a code to sign up.
