Well, it depends on what kind of name you want. English or Japanese name? Or do you want typical comic superhero/villain names like Superman or Batman?
Anyway, when I name my characters, my decision is greatly influenced by their appearance, their personality, their abilities and position in the story, so it's good that you gave a bit of info on both of your characters.

The type of names I would choose:

* For the hero:

- Rakku
- Sisho
- Mavar
- Temian
- Cobalt
- Verauko
- Sol
- Nasol
- Keros
- Zenith
- Barnas

* For the villain:

- Vypor
- Vextor
- Nillgator
- Nex
- Hidegald
- Hilgamus
- Norfix
- Menag

...etc. If you think these names are too sophisticated or weird, you could always choose something more typical and common like Jack, Tim, Mike etc.

But the names that are appropriate for most situations are the ones with 3 or 4 letters, like Raku, Mika, Loz, Nano, Nex, Val etc.

How about Red Rhino or Scorch for the villian. I don't know about the side-kick. Does he have any powers? Who is he a side-kick to?
