If the outside of the flask is not dried after vaporizing the liquid, will the unknown's calculated molecular weight is too high ot too low? and explain why ?

You need to think about what you did in the lab. Think about what you weighed, and how the mass that you determined affects the value that you calculated. If you didn't dry the flask thoroughly, then your final mass would be greater than it should be (because of water hanging on the outside of the flask). Now, look at the equation you used, and see if increasing the mass would give you a larger or a smaller molecular weight.

if the material in it is not fully dried it will throw off measurements off more. think about what you did and why you did it, and what could have thrown you off
