Does she want the Constitution re-written to "outlaw guns to ALL people (*except talk show hosts, celebrities, wealthy people)." What the heck is going on here? Is this a classic example of liberal "Do as I say, not as I do" hyprocracy? (and PLEASE don't respond that she NEEDS protection because of her celebrity status, but I don't because I'm NOT a celebrity. That is a weak argument)

I live in a state where guns are just a part of life. Most Alaskans have guns, some for protection, but mostly for hunting. I get pissed when people who live in big cities sneer down at those of us who chose a rural lifestyle and want to regulate guns. Um - when there is a bear on your front porch, trying to get in, come talk to me about gun control. When wolves are eating your pet dog in your yard, come talk to me about gun control. (Both incidents have happened in the town of Healy, Alaska and both are pretty recent.) When you move out to a village that is off the road system, where ALL of your food needs to be flown in and you're paying more than $7 for a gallon of milk, come talk to me about gun control. (I don't know what a pound of ground beef goes for, sorry) I know many Alaskan families - even here in Fairbanks, the 2nd largest city, who wouldn't make it through the winter if they didn't get a moose. Until Rosie - or any other anti-gun person - is willing to come up here and spend a year in a village, where they HAVE to hunt to survive, I don't pay much attention to them.

Articchick makes a great point! Most of the people I know have guns for hunting purposes. In rural Northeast Texas, we have animal problems as well. We have the black panther here that will attack cattle for food. We have coyotes that will kill your pets for food, and even attack small children. We don't have bears, but we do have wolves. But then again, this is Texas. "Everybody has a gun. Even my florist has a gun!" (quote from "Miss Congeniality").

Liberals hate guns. She is a hypocrite who dislikes Catholics and alienates many viewers. I don't understand why liberals are against guns or hunting. They think guns kill people but people kill people. She has a warped mind. I'm not a conservative but an anti-gun control democrat who is sick of the lefties in my party that have tainted it with their liberal agenda.

Its simple. The destruction of the 2nd amendment leaves all weapons in the hands of those who break the law. Is this the America we want to live in? I think not. Those who obey the law can no longer own a weapon. And those who are not opposed to breaking the law will end up with guns. What kind of society does that make?

the gun debate is so stupid . regardless of laws the criminals will always have guns , for example cocaine is illegal but still is everywhere . So of course we should have them to protect us . But yes when liberals talk they don't understand the concept of reality , maybe rosie got a threat or something and reality forced her to get armed guards

Why do celebrities think that their point of view should be doctrine? They are celebrities, not political analysts. They get paid ridiculous amounts of money for some talent that really means nothing in the grand scheme of life.

I do not understand that either. Banning guns will not solve the problem of crimes. Banning guns will only promote more crime because it will create a illegal market for guns through which criminals will be armed and law abiding citizens will not be able to protect themselves.
