I think the heroes have been (unknowingly) a part of an experiment - either by aliens or a private group. They were somehow given these gifts through an injection and marked with the double line tattoo.

I think Claire's dad will join forces with the heroes to help save them from Silas.

I think Silas will continue to kill and not get caught.

I also think it's only a matter of time before the heroes secrets are out to the world.

I love this show!!!!

You really want to know? All right, here's a spoiler for you:

Hiro has to travel back in time six months to prevent Sylar from killing a waitress (named Charlie) with super-memory. He ultimately succeeds in this, to a point.

Also expect every hero's power origin story to more or less be told in the first season (as in how they got their powers, when they first manifested, etc). We learn more about Syler. We also eventually learn WHY all the heroes are getting their powers - it's a natural phenomenon produced by the universe to counteract a major disaster.

The professor goes back to India (much to the actor's relief). Yet despite his decision to wash his hands of the whole deal, he keeps getting dragged back in.

Nobody ends up dying permanently for a while. The directors' plan was to kill characters off when they become uninteresting, and now he's saying that everyone is so interesting that he doesn't foresee that happening... at least for now.

Much of the remainder of this season will focus on Nathan's election and the bomb plot. Hopefully (according to the director) the plot will be so twisted at that point that it will be easy to continue.

I watch it. The premise of the story is outstanding, but I have been disappointed as the weeks go by that we are just getting more character profile and not enough story. It has the potential to be a great show and I hope you are right that it will begin to really rock over the next few weeks.

My prediction is that the next few episodes are going to rock as much as the first ones have.

But seriously, the only real prediction I have is that Hiro will not be able to prevent Isaac's death. Claire will be fine, though.
