Damn browny your doen a heckav a job here. I had answered a couple of your environmental questions, thinking you were on the up and up and here you go asking what kinds of dangerous poisons you can dump all around your house to keep mice out. First off the reason the mice are getting in is your fault, you have not properly sealed your house up and you are probably dirty so therefore the rats are attracted to you. Get a CAT!

Plugging the holes that they use for front is often efficient. Strategically putting rags that have been soaked in amonia works nicely too. The amonia soaked rags tell the rodents (and the different varmint) that an vast preditar lives here and so that they are going to pick to make their residing house someplace else. must you nevertheless have mice on your place, changing the stress on your traps to easily harm bones, extremely than killing on effect, collectively as inhumane, is extremely smart for encouraging them to bypass away. A mouse with a broken lower back will scream till it dies (I did say that this methodology is inhumane) and subsequently scare the different mice away. i be attentive to folk who've used this methodology and it works nicely yet is extremely grotesque. i in my view have used the loud track approach. putting a growth container with loud, caustic track (like heavy metallic or dying metallic) and playing it loudly (as loud as you and your buddies can tolerate) for no less than 3 days and nights in a row will additionally scare the varmints away (with out killing them horribly). as quickly as all the varmints are long gone, making use of the ammonia rags will save them from returning in the present day, thereby offering you with the time you'll be able to desire to search out all the entrances and block them. sturdy success.

Best is to get a cat. Next, sprinkle mint leaves around the perimeter of the house. Poisons can potentially kill other animals that might eat it.

I -- a one-time country dweller -- think you want to look at repellents rather than poison, and at blocking off possible entry routes, rather than poison. A pile of corpses aren't going to be fun to deal with.

Of interest:

"Certain plants repel mice and keep them from nesting at the foot of trees: amaryllis, mint, lavender, daffodils, narcissus, squill, hyacinth, catnip and spurge. A mulch of thuja bark or savory or oak leaves will keep mice away. Camphor and mothballs repel them as well. When you set out mouse traps be sure to use some anise oil to mask your odour."

But:

"There is nothing that will "repel" mice that I am aware of that has passed rigourous scientific real world testing. Lots of magic is sold out there but if it worked then my company would be out of business. I would suggest she contact a pest control company and have poison put out. They have ways to do it that will reduce risk to non-targets."

I'd go with the Cdn gov't advice before the pest control guy's, but...well, he obviously isn't out of business, so...

You don't need POISON! You can use a variety and/or mix of regular, everyday herbs in your cupboard (if you cook!). A mix of garlic powder and rosemary works well. Those two herbs are very usefull in ridding your house of many pests. Also, surf in an engine for other ingredients. I don't have my book in front of me.

Cats work great. too. Provided it is not some lazy piece of.... :)

powder borax... it works on mice and roaches... and other creepy crawlies. however, you don't want to use any sort of poison if you have kids or pets...they will die.
