(2) 2x+5y=3 multiply by 2
(2a) 4x+10y=6 Subtract (1) from (2a)
(1) 4x+3y= 19
(3) 7y=-13 divide by 7
y=-13/7
substitute into (1)
4x-3*13/7=19
4x-39/7=19 add 39/7
4x=(133+39)/7=172/7 divide by 4
x=43/7

solution is (43/7,-13/7)
check bt substituting into (2)
(2) 2x+5y=3

I assume the question is to solve for x and y (e.g. the point of intersection of the two lines).

I would double the bottom equation and subtract it from the first:
4x + 3y = 19
4x + 10y = 6

Subtracting the two equations:
-7y = 13

Divide by -7:
y = -13/7
y = -1 6/7

Finally substitute y back into one of the original equations:
2x + 5(-13/7) = 3
2x -65/7 = 3
2x = 3 + 65/7
2x = 21/7 + 65/7
2x = 86/7
x = 43/7
x = 6 1/7

As improper fractions:
x = 43/7
y = -13/7

As mixed fractions:
x = 6 1/7
y = -1 6/7

As a point of intersection, it would be:
(x,y) = (6 1/7, -1 6/7)

2x + 5y = 3
mens that
2x = 3-5y
x= (3-5y)/2

Now, we put that in the other eqaution

4x+3y=19
4(3-5y)/2 + 3y =19
6-10y + 3y=19
-7y =13
y=-13/7 (okay, so it is a nasty number, not a round integer)
that is -1.8571

Now, put this y value back in any of the original equation to solve for x:

2x + 5y=3
2x + 5(-13/7) = 3
2x -65/7 = 3
2x = 3+65/7
2x= 12.2857
x= 6.1428

4x+3y= 19
2x+5y=3

4x+3y= 19
-4x-10y=-6

-7y=13
y = -13/7

4x+3(-13/7)= 19
(28/7)x - (39/7) = (133/7)
28/7x = 172/7
x = 172/28
x = 43/7

Multiply 2nd equation by 2 to get when you subtract only one variable

4x+3y=19
4x+10y=6

Subtracting equations 1 and 2,
-7y=13
y=-13/7

Substitute in 1st equation,
4x+3(-13/7)=19

Solve for x.

4x+3y=19
2x+5y=3

answer

4x+3y=19
4x+10y=6
---------
-6y=13
==>
y=-13/6

similarly

x=(19-9/5)/(4-6/5)=86/14=43/7;

so x=43/7,y= -13/6

4x + 3y = 19-------x 1 (multiply by) eq. 1
2x +5y = 3-----------x 2 (multiply by) eq .2
4x + 3y = 19-------eq. 3
4x + 10y = 6---------eq. 4 Subtract eq. 3 from eq. 4 gives
-7y = 13 divide both sides by -7 gives
-7 -7
y = -13/7
Substitute y = -13/7 into eq.2 gives
2x +5(-13/7) = 3
2x + 0.844156 = 3
2x + 0.844156 - 0.844156 = 3 - 0.844156 (subtract 0.844156 both sides gives)
2x = 2.155844 divide both sides by 2 gives
x = 1.077922
