He introduced himself to me when I was new. I made friends with his friends. I had to leave the country because of family reasons. He contacted me everyday through texting me. I missed him and my other friends. I moved back. He called me a few times. I went to the beach and got drunk with him and his friend. We went to his house one day to watch a movie. Something changed and he didnt talk to me for a while. I text him and he said we're all good. He goes to lunch with me and he brings his friend. He didnt come today I asked him why and he said because his friend wasn't in but he talked to me normal for the rest of lunch. We are going on a trip together for school soon. He just confuses me sometimes but I want to try and be better friends with him. Get to know him a bit more.

Yea, it does sound like a friend to me. Get to know him more as he gets to know you a little more. Don't worry too much.

Don't get drunk with him anymore, stay lucid, stay a good friend the test of time will tell if you can become real friends. Alcohol trashes more relationships than almost anything else!
Good luck

he sounds like he is good friend and maybe those times he stopped talking be may have been really busy with something really important that he couldnt screw up. maybe he likes to take other friends with him so other people dont think you two are gay or something. just talk to him and see he is truely your friend.
