A lot of people say no because they will influence the child to be gay. Yet most of the homosexuals in this world were raised int a heterosexual family. Another thing is, who's business is it if a gay couple is raising a child, as long as he is well provided for and not being abused. People talk about the child being gay because the influence is that much higher. Most child abusers are heterosexual males, should we not allow them to raise children because the influence of the child growing up to be a child predator is that much greater? Who's business is it to interfere in someone elses life and dictate what they can and cannot do?

You're right it is amazing how all these hetero couples have managed to raise gay children. That should give people a clue but it doesn't seem to. There is not a thing wrong with gay people raising children. Love is what a child needs it doesn't matter to them if you are gay or not.

YES! And I say this because there is so MUCH worse things....Like Susan Smith having a child now and raising it (she's the one that drowned her children in a car that she let roll into a lake) The gay community know they are under eagle eyes to screw up and have more controversy so at this time they probably are the best parents. Gay people are more sensitive in nature (have to be understanding)......so I do not disagree because they are not gonna intentionally screw up their community. I know several gay couples with children. The child isn't gay....in fact they are Honor roll students with a brilliance and more understanding to social issues. I am not saying that there won't be issues.....but to be honest there's issues in all status's in life!
Again depends on the class of the individual!

I do not think that this is a healthy situation for the child. A child needs a mother who is a real woman and a father who is a real man. It is not psychologically healthy for a child to not have either a mother or a father. God created the family and it's structure for a reason. I do not hate Gay's and am not saying any of this out of hate. I am answering based on factual data. Research shows a higher chance of criminality among children who where raised in a single parent family.

YES!!! And for the same reasons as you state (very well, I may add)!

I am a Christian and do not understand how other supposed Christians can be against Gays, just because they are different. Jesus tells us to accept all others unconditionally, without judgment! The hypocracy really is upsettting!

Hardtimes, being gay does not indicate that a person is a sexual predator (most predators are HETEROsexual MEN), it merely indicates their sexual preference!

There are so many children out there in foster homes needing permanent homes, that I think the bigger issue should be finding people to love these children....not the sexual orientation of the people that want to love them.
I don't know if nature or nurture leads to homosexuality and I really don't care. there are biological parents out there with all kinds of detrimental qualities that are raising children everyday. should a person's sexual orientation be considered a detrimental quality? I don't think so.

It's just not normal. Children need a mother and a father. And they need to go to schools without being harrassed because they have 2 moms or 2 dads. It's not healthy for a child to be raised in a gay or lesbian household.

While it isn't my place to judge anyone or question their parenting abilities based on their sexual preference,my main concern is for the children.Kids are cruel to each other, especially in school.I would hate to see a child ridiculed and ignored by their classmates because of their parents choice of lifestyle. My child was made fun of in school because I am disabled and "different" than other parents.I don't think it is fair to the child.

i don't think the government should be able to tell us what to do with respect to our personal choices but you should ask your self what is best for the child i think kids have it really hard these days and it would be more difficult for the child of gay or lesbian kids than heterosexual kids if you want to make a difference in kids lives volunteer with big brother or sister or a shelter foe homeless kids Evan though you have a right to adopt or artificial insemination it might not be the best thing for the children. and as parents you should do whats right for them and not just for your self.
