Yes because that character is global. A close 2nd would be Jaws the shark but Vader will be remembered for many many years.

Not the best ever, but I would say one of the best developed characters without a doubt. A good portion of the film viewing public must think so as well, or SW Episodes 1,2,and 3 wouldn't have been as succesful as they were- I mean, they *are* based on Anniken's life from childhood to Darth Vader-ism.
Definitely an interesting and complex and well-developed character in film.

I love Star Wars and I love Darth Vader character!! I love hov he develops from Anakin - a young boy with passion, wanting to save his wife, into Darth Vader and then back into Anakin just before he dies, meeting his son. He's not really all that bad. He just wanted to be happy, the things just didn't turned out just the way he wanted to :/

He IS a dude but my personal favourite characters are Captain Jack Sparrow, Professor Snape and Ichabod Crane; from POTC, Harry Potter and Sleepy Hollow. b4 u ask i AM a Johnny Depp fan mainly due to the fact that he can make such amazing characters.

no hes not! hes a good badie but there are much better characters out their like neo from the matrix and hannibal lecter. Personally any character portrayed by sean bean gets my vote!

He stands in the top 10, but not in first place. Is better than Jason or Freddy, better than Alien, but not better than Sparrow. Heck, i´ll go with Han Solo on the Star Wars saga.
