How much does it cost? I'm looking to have just my right lobe pierced (in addition to my existing one). I already have one piercing on each ear, but had it done to me when I was really young so I can't remember how painful it is. Is it painful?

No it's not painful but I would avoid Claires like the plague. Three of my friends had their ears done there and all three complained that the holes werent the same height as the other side. DISASTER STEER CLEAR!

I got my 2nd holes done at claire's and it cost £7.50 but after i'd got it done i realised the holes were too close to my other ones. Make sure they mark it properly. It didn't hurt that much but it is over in like 2 seconds so I wouldn't worry about it. Mine were red for a day afterwards but that's normal. I advise you not to go to Claire's as when you're getting it done in the shop, loads of people watch you and make you more nervous. Good luck.

I had my ears done there 4 years ago, its about £6-7 then, not sure what the price is now though.

Its not really that painful, they use a gun to pierce the ear so its quick.

Be careful at Claires. They try and get you to buy the starter pack (around £25) then do the piercing for free. I wouldn't advise this as it's only £12 to get them pierced. Then nip to boots are get some ear solution to keep them clean! Savlon would work on about 2 quid per spray!

Remember that a piercing is still making a hole in your body, even thought it is on the ear, and it heals pretty quick, but please don't do it a Claire's, they don't use the same safety precautions, and its just not sanitary. So just go to a piercing shop. where professionals do the work.

I had mine done at claires when I was in year 4, so pretty young. It was just like a sharp pain but then they immediately put like this cool lotion on it...I didn't cry even and I really don't like pain!

I've not heard the best of stories about their piercings, staff training and quality of earrings for new piercings so i'd suggest a real piercing place.

NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER GO TO CLAIRE'S OR USE A PIERCING GUN FOR PIERCINGS!!!!!!!!

Please, for you own good, don't do it.

It is pretty much stupid to get any piercing of any kind without using proper tools and equimpent. The piercing gun is not safe, clean or wise and results is poorly done piercings and unneeded amounts of pain. They also do not provide you with good and proper aftercare instructions.

Pay a little tiny bit more and have a professional piercer do them for you, please.

I also do not recommend Claire's - my daughter had hers done there and she DID have pain for quite a long time until they settled down, even with the lotion they sell you.

Having it done in a small shop full of excited kids/teens/mums/buggies etc etc isnt the best way.
