Backstreet Boys. NSync with the exeception of Justin looked like a bunch of sex offenders trying to get boys on bed.

Yea, I remember those days!! I started out listening to both groups. I eventually became a big fan of the Backstreet Boys(BSB) because everyone was comparing the 2 and saying that Nsync were copy cats of BSB. Then, I realized that that was stupid and that I shouldn't listen to everyone else so I started to like Nsync again. When BSB took a break I really got into Nsync and eventually started to like them more than BSB. However, I would say that I am now a fan of both groups although I still like Nsync more. I still even listen to Justin Timberlake and when JC Chasez releases his new CD I'll buy it too.
I would also like to mention that I too was a New Kids On The Block fan back in the late 80s and early 90s.

Backstreet Boys were bigger in Australia, so I knew of them first, but I like some NSync songs too. But I guess with all these comeback tours (well, in the UK anyway, Take That, East 17 etc), I would prefer to see Backstreet Boys if they did a reuniting show, that would be great to see.

I don't necessarily like the BSB, but I can respect them musically, because they got together, worked on their act, and then presented it to the American public. They take turns singing, harmonize better, and even though they were simple bubblegum pop, they had a decent sound. Nsync, on the other hand, was put together in collaboration with Disney once BSB debuted in America, seeing their success. Instead of a group, it was Justin, J.C., and three other guys that never see the light of day. I see them as a cheap ripoff that got bigger because of the marketing machine behind them, and the cuter frontman.

I was a big N*SYNC fan back in the day. Backstreet Boys has better lyrics but Justin was cute. LOL
