Oh geez, I guess Smokey the cat was my 1st pet, I was one yr. old. At 1st, we didn't like eachother, but after she got her butt kicked by a neighbors cat, that I started to feel for her. Soon after, she became my best friend - so to speak - she was defenceless, no teeth (but 1), no claws what so ever and it was just so sad... I kicked that mean cat, which I'm not proud of. Anyways, Smokey WAS the best pet in the whole world, I had her until I turned 15. When my evil x-stepdad gave her away to a farm with out telling me. (Hello! She is Defenceless) I couldn't find her for 4 days, before anyone would say anything ... it was January in North Dakots (COLD)!! - and NOBODY had the balls to tell me what happened. That was 7 yrs. ago and I still miss her, eventhough I have a new kitty now.

Mine was a hamster, her name was nutmeg. She would always find ways to escape from her cage and went through 5 of them until we finally found one she couldnt get out of!! And yes we always found her.She lived for about 3 years and was really sweet. Sadly she had cancer and we had to take her to the vet and have her put out of her misery because she had open cysts all over her body :(

A ginger guinea-pig called Rusty. Lived for about seven years! He lived in a hutch my Grandad built in a sheltered spot of the garden, and everyone in the family took him out to play with. He is featured on so many old snapshots, sitting on somebody's shoulder. We made a run for him on the lawn, and he liked being out there in the summer. I always saved him vegetable scraps and gathered dandelion leaves for him.
I was nine years when he died a natural death and have never forgotten him.

My first pet was my cat. My parents got her 2 years before I was born so I've been an animal owner before I was even born! Ever since I have always had a pet. We have never had no pets since before I was born.

My cat was called Mitzy and she died on her 18th birthday, when I was 15.

My dad got German Shorthaired Pointer to hunt with when I was six months old. Her name was Samantha and she ended up being gun-shy. So she was just a wonderful family dog for 15 years.

We also had a long-haired black and white cat named Clarence who lived to be 18.

A cat called Cindy, she lived to be 16 years old. She was terribly posh and snooty and used to keep the dog in his place if she could bring herself to do so.
