Because the elections are over & holiday travel is getting ready to kick in. Prices are a joke. They tell you it's going up because crude oil is @ for example, $65/barrell. Than when they want to lower them due to political reasons they tell you it's going down because crude oil is now @ $65/barrell. If companies can make billions of dollars in profit for a quarter while the common man struggles to survive week to week something is horribly wrong or is it just me?

There are many factors involved in prices petroleum products. First it starts with OPEC. Any kind of speculation in the market will fluctuate the price, i.e., the Iraq war, change of power in our government, Iran's nuclear ambitions. Speculation is huge! Supply and demand are next and Thanksgiving is coming, a very busy travel time. Just remember our gas prices are amongst the cheapest in the world.

higher inventories doesnt mean the price of gas for winter heating will go down. It could just mean we are prepared for a shortage.

Crude prices are down because we have not hit the cold season.

well it;s all because of this real nice guy
named george bush.

now that the price of a litre of gazzzz stabalized

he was not making enough money to pay for his little war

so he let the U.S. reserves drop by 10 %,and since gas
prices and gas run on speculation not on true real value

some gass comodity brokers are trying to make a buck
by over quoting the price of gas - speculating that u.s. reserves will fall further to a lower level.

thus the price goes up.........

but the price of gas in canada was 68-75 cents
before the gulf war and hurricane damage...

it;s hovering around 87-91 in quebec,

due to the government of quebec and rip off gas producers

in ontario it is 10 cents a litre cheaper

thank you parti-quebeoiseau...........

Quite simple - because consumers are perfectly willing to pay higher prices.

If you want to protest, boycott all companies that sell gas!
