well ive just done an eperiment using this a few days ago
we had to find out the x in MgSO4.Xh20.
and i think epsom salts are those that have water of crystillisation trapped in them

eppsom salts helps sooths sore muscles and some even soak their feet in it. all you do to use it is to pour in warm water and soak what ails you. try it .

totally the best "cure all" out there.
I recommend it for a laundry list of natural healing processes.
I bathe with it all the time and clean out my sinuses and even clean house with it.
