While very unlikely, it has happened before.

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the people who say that you can because they don't understand how the cycle works.........they are uninformed and WRONG!!!Everyone's cycle is different. There is a myth that woman ovulate 14 days after their period begins...but that is only an AVERAGE and each month can be different. The other thing is that sperm can live inside you for up to 5 days.... so if you are having a shortened cycle one month and you have sex right after your period and you ovulate earlier than day 14 than yes, there is a chance of getting pregnant. However, it will not be during your period. Many people think it’s possible because they do not completely understand how conception works. It might not happen right at the moment of intercourse since the sperm can live for days! If your cycle is short and you ovulate earlier than day 14 it can SEEM like conception takes place during your period...They only way to know is to know exactly when you ovulate. There are several ways to know and some are more effective than others. Some can only predict before ovulation happens and some can only predict that is has already happened. The absolute best info I can give you is to go read a book called Taking Charge of your fertility by Toni Weschler. It will help you understand your body and all the myths about it. It will help you time when you are ovulating and the best times to conceive – or not! . It's about knowing your body and knowing when you are fertile or not. You can pick and choose what you do with your info. Good luck and don't listen the all the myths! Even if you don't get into charting and everything....it will help you in so many ways!

If you ovulate while having a period then expect another period within a week or two.
Fertilization of the egg can occur up to two days after insemination.
If you have sex on the last day of your period and you ovulate within the next couple days, then yes, you can get pregnant.
If you have a regular period every four weeks like clockwork, then you likely cannot get pregnant while on your period because your ovulation will not begin for another week or two afterwards.

YES YES I had a friend that had a baby, 6 months later she thought she would be safe if she was at that time of the month, needless to say she is now the mother of 2. The doctor told her, it are sometimes more possible to get pregnant at that time of the month!

Yes..
at no time is having unprotected sex safe from the risk of causing a pregnancy..
Women have gotten pregnant while having sex during their period..
I don't see how anyone could really enjoy sex at that time of the month, but I guess to each their own...

YES YES YES... take my word.... I'm pregnant, and it happened during my period. and just to add, if you don't want to get pregnant there is only one sure way, don't have sex. Birth control options don't always work either, I got pregnant with my 2nd child, on birth control and with a condem!

No. It is very unlikely because period and ovulation do not occur at one time. Normally you will get pregnant two weeks after the frist day of the last period, which when the ovulation occurs.
