Yes, with my second child I got my period at first and later it started to taper off and go away. I would have thought it would happen the other way around. I wouldn't be worried.

Yes, it's very common for women to not have a period while they are nursing. You are still feeling the symptoms at that time because you are still ovulating and can definitely get pregnant. But once you stop nursing your periods should return to normal.

I didn't get a single period until my daughter was 20 months old. It's normal for nursing to affect fertility. The more often you nurse the longer you keep your fertility at bay. No periods is a blessing. :) Also the fewer periods you have in your life, the lower risk of breast cancer, endometrial cancer, and ovarian cancer.

absolutely...I have been nursing my daughter for 7 months and have yet to get a period. With my son I didn't have 1 for the whole 16 months I nursed. Good luck!

Yes it can affect your cycle. I babysit for a lady, and she didnt have a period when she was nursing, and then she was going to stop breast feeding, and start on her bc again, but then found out that she was pregnant again.

totally....it all has to do with hormones, your body releases hormones so you can continue to breast feed and the hormones that help your period interact and cause period problems, sorta like a car crash on a busy street, everything gets brunch together.

The longer you breast feed the longer your period may stay away, I loved that fact, lol....not to worry, if your period starts and you are still breast feeding its just a sign that things are going back to the way it was before baby was conceived. I wish you well:-)

Yes, I am currently nursing my 6mnth old and have not had a period since I started. I was told by my doctor it would return when I stopped breastfeeding.

first of all a women's cycle can be from 21 up to 28 days. so it seems that yours is fine. and the breast feeding can affect your cycle as well also it makes it more difficult to get pregnant again.
you can breast feed your baby as long as you want (i know in some countries some children are breast feed until their 4 or 5yrs old).
