In almost all cases the SUN sign is more important . . . no life on our Planet Earth without the Sun!

As the creating Yang force the Sun gives us our vitality, designates each individual character and shapes ones position in society. It is the center, the heart!

The Ascendant is the point on the eastern horizon at the time of birth and connects life on Earth to Cosmic Consciousness -- it is known as the *gate to the outer world* or *the path in life.* One can also call it the *assistant* instead of Ascendant (It assists the Sun).

Only in strong double sign combinations with the Sun in the 12th House is (can be) the Ascendant *stronger* than the Sun!

Anything more is a professional consultation . . .

It is as important as your sun sign. The Ascendant, Sun and Moon tend to hold equal weight of importance. Your Sun sign is your core, while your Ascendant could be the "shell".

The rising sign is more important, because that's who we are.
The sun is the father, and the moon, the mother.

both are one and the same. It's just like father and child in the "eyes" of a great beautiful and wonderous, very graceful mother. I learned this watching the movie, "MommyDearest."
