Tell me, what is this 'Invisible' word means? It means, not be visible to others, right? :-)

When an user clicks 'Invisible' status in his/her Skype, it actually tells Skype software to make him/her invisible to the other contacts in his/her Skype list. So, once, he/she will become an invisible user in that way, how could you know, whether he/she is online or not?

The answer is that much simple. Isn't it?

:-)

You can't -- that's the whole idea behind the invisible setting.

Even if they are online, they may not be logged in to the skype network - so the simple fact that they may reply to an email does not indicate that they are running skype in invisible mode.

You don't that's why it's called invisible.

You will not know unless they tell you they are.

That is the uniqueness of Skype.
