Yes this would definitely make me angry. I have had a similar experience. Your diary is your most inner feelings, like a therapist. And therapists are supposed to keep your secrets. Your family was wrong to read your diary, and they were definetelly wrong to throw it away. You should talk to them and tell them how you feel about it and let them know to never do that again. If you had wanted to commit suicide you would've done it. Instead you just needed to talk to someone who understood you and wouldn't judge you, your diary. Hope this has helped.

I think you should look at it from your family's point of view. Sometimes people who love you know something is wrong and want to help. What they did might have seemed like an invasion of privacy to you, but I believe it was done with the best of intentions. You need to be honest with them about your depression, about trust and ask what happened to the missing page. You have that right. It might be just what you all need.

Its a violation of trust. Many people journal as a release. I went through a similar depression and writing in my journal about my thoughts helped keep me sane and even though I wrote I wanted to die - the fact that I was able to release some of the emotions through writing it kept me from doing it and thats what your family needs to understand. Many people go through a depression at one point in their life or another and you have a right to keep you feelings in journal without feeling like someone is going to go through it.

my mother found mine and i got the living **** bet out of me.
that didn't stop me from writing. i still write and I'm older. some people just have nothing better to do then to be noisy and get in some one Else's business. and they are not sorry. they knew what they were doing before they even did it. they had no business touching anything of yours. tell them the next time they want to sit down and read your life and feelings, to let you know about it so you can sit down with them. they had no business getting to invaded you.
it is going to take along time to forgive them
i was very angry. i was mad at my mam for along, long time.
my dad was mad to. he told her she had no rite to read my diary, he told her that i was entitled to some privies.
yes it would take along time before i could trust them.
and as you probably know that trust is a very hard thing to come by.

Uh, yeah, that would defiantly piss me off. You should try to hide your diary in a better spot. How rude of you mother and sister to behave that way!

that sounds like that would suck, no I havent had that happen to me but you should take to your mom and sis about it and just say hey thats personal and if that don't work try hiding it and never let them know where it is. But yeah that would make me mad you'd think you could trust your own family members.
